About KitchenAid
KitchenAid dates from 1919, when the H-5, invented by Ohio engineer Herbert Johnson, became its first mixer. The brand is still built around the stand mixer. Its mixers use KitchenAid's planetary action, which moves the beater around the whole bowl as it turns.
Excell's KitchenAid range is two bowl-lift mixers for commercial kitchens: a 4.8-litre model in white, and the 6.9-litre Professional with a 1.3 hp direct-drive motor and a wire bowl guard. Both come with a stainless steel bowl, flat beater, whisk and dough hook.
Worth knowing
Bowl-lift design
The head stays fixed and the bowl rises to the beater on two arms, which keeps heavy mixes stable.
Gear-driven
Metal gears drive the beater, not a belt, so speed holds when the bowl is full.
6.9 L Professional
A 1.3 hp direct-drive motor, metal body and gears, and a wire guard with a stop switch.
Attachment hub
The Professional has a single hub for KitchenAid's optional attachments, which are sold separately.
