SmartChef is a range of commercial kitchen equipment sold through South African catering dealers. It covers frying, baking and food preparation for take-aways, cafés and restaurants, plus trolleys for hotels, offices and laundries.
Excell's range covers 16 and 25-litre pressure fryers (electric and gas), high-speed electric fryers with one, two or four bins, single and double-deck Eco pizza ovens, 300 and 450-slice conveyor toasters, a 9-litre bowl cutter, the HLC-300AL vegetable preparation machine and a spiral potato cutter. It also includes a laundry trolley and a three-tier tea trolley with side bins.

Pressure frying
The 25-litre pressure fryers run at 12 psi from 60 to 200 °C. The electric model adds 10 programmes and built-in oil filtration.
Stone-deck pizza
Eco pizza ovens bake a 30 cm pizza per deck on a ceramic stone, with separate top and bottom element control up to 350 °C.
Variable-speed bowl cutter
The HR-9 has a 9-litre bowl, blade speeds from 1,000 to 2,500 rpm, thermal overload protection and a motor brake.
Cool-zone fryers
High-speed fryers have replaceable individual elements and a cool zone that protects the oil from burning.
