About Smeg
Smeg was founded in 1948 in Guastalla, near Reggio Emilia in Italy, and the name stands for Smalterie Metallurgiche Emiliane Guastalla. Smeg Professional is the group's division for hotels, restaurants and catering. It has made professional ovens since 1982, and professional dishwashers followed.
The range covers warewashing (undercounter glass and dishwashers, hood-type pass-through machines and rack conveyors) and cooking (convection ovens and the Galileo Professional combi ovens), with refrigeration for bars and front of house. The machines are built in Smeg's own plants in Italy.
