Why we use the brands we use

We don't stock a brand because it sells. We stock it because when it breaks on a Friday night, we can fix it. That single test — can our own workshop keep this running for the next ten years? — decides what goes in the catalogue.

The four things a brand has to clear

These aren't marketing criteria. They are the reasons a piece of equipment either keeps earning its place in a commercial kitchen or becomes an expensive shelf.

We have to be able to fix it

Every brand on this list is one our own workshop is equipped and trained to repair. If a machine can only be serviced by flying someone in, it doesn't go in the catalogue — a kitchen that's down doesn't care whose logo is on the door.

Spares have to be held, not ordered

We carry OEM parts for the equipment we sell. A warranty measured in years is worth nothing if the part behind it is a twelve-week import, so parts availability decides what we stock as much as the specification does.

The warranty has to be real

A manufacturer warranty is a promise by someone else. We only carry brands whose warranty we can honour ourselves — assessed, repaired and signed off from our own workshop rather than handed back to the customer as a phone number.

It has to work where our customers are

Equipment specified for a Kimberley or Bloemfontein kitchen has to cope with local power, local water and local service intervals. Brands that only behave on a European supply don't survive a Northern Cape summer.

What each brand is warranted for

Pulled live from our own brand records, so it matches what your quote will say. The longest cover we currently carry is 5 years. Warranty is carried out by our in-house workshop — how warranty repairs work.

Warranty covers manufacturing defects under normal commercial use. Consumables, damage from incorrect installation, and equipment serviced by a third party fall outside it. Confirm the exact terms on your quote before ordering.
